Papa Madiaw Ndiaye, Founding Partner & CEO
Papa was formerly a Managing Director at Emerging Markets Partnership where he was one of three partners to set up the $407 million AIG-African Infrastructure Fund. He previously held senior responsibilities for IFC’s equity and debt investments in Africa after spending his entire career on Wall Street with Salomon Brothers and then J.P. Morgan. He holds a BA from Harvard College and an MA/MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (GSAS/Wharton).
Patrice Backer, Director/COO
Patrice was formerly Managing Director of PromoCapital Haiti S.A, a transnational merchant bank, where he led a number of transactions in telecommunications, energy, and health care. He spent most of his career on Wall Street with J.P. Morgan in its Emerging Markets division, covering Latin America, Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe. He holds a BA from Harvard College and an MA/MBA from the University of Pennsylvania (GSAS/Wharton).
Mezuo Nwuneli, Director
Mezuo’s professional experience spans financial services (financial analyst in J.P. Morgan’s M&A group in New York), oil and gas (VP of Investments at Ocean & Oil Holdings in Nigeria) and telecommunications (CFO and member of Board of Directors of MTS First Wireless in Nigeria). Mezuo holds a B.Sc. from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
